Harry Bulstrode trained in Cambridge and Oxford (2000-2006), then as a junior doctor in London (2006-2008) and neurosurgery trainee in Southampton (2008-2012). He did his PhD with Steve Pollard in London and Edinburgh studying transcription factor master regulators in neural stem cells (2012-2015).
Harry Bulstrode returned to Cambridge to complete my Neurosurgery training and secured a CRUK Pioneer Award to study Zika Virus in glioma stem cells in David Rowitch’s lab (2016-2021). He went on to train in stereotactic and functional neurosurgery under Ludvic Zrinzo at NHNN Queen Square while continuing his research in the Briscoe lab at the Francis Crick Institute (2021-2023).
In 2023, he took up a Wellcome Clinician Career Development Fellowship and now works as a Group Leader at the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute and Honorary Consultant Neurosurgeon at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
