Biography: Jürgen Mulsow

Jürgen Mulsow is a Consultant Surgeon at the Mater Hospital Dublin and an Associate Clinical Professor in Surgery at University College Dublin, Ireland.

He graduated from University College Dublin (MB) and was later awarded the degree of doctor of medicine (MD). He undertook specialist surgical training in Ireland before completing a Fellowship in colorectal surgical oncology at the University Hospital Erlangen, Germany. He was awarded the ACPGBI Gold medal for first place in intercollegiate examination (FRCSI) and was the 2010 ACPGBI British Travelling Fellow to the United States. He began his current role in 2012 and his clinical practice focuses on the care of patients with advanced and recurrent colorectal and appendiceal cancer. He has specialist interest and expertise in the care of patients with peritoneal malignancy, including patients with pseudomyxoma peritonei.
