Dr Suhani is an Additional Professor of Surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India. She completed her medical school (MBBS) from Lady Hardinge Medical College and Masters in Surgery (MS) from the University College of Medical Sciences, both located at New Delhi, India. She is a keen academician and a passionate teacher. She has special interest in medical research with translational value for resource limited settings. Her main areas of interest include diseases of the breast (malignant and benign), hereditary breast cancer, diseases of thyroid and parathyroid gland, medical teaching & training, and simulation-based teaching. She has numerous publications and presentations at national & international conferences. She has organized numerous national and international conferences at her institute. She is an active member of the simulation facility at her institute and successfully runs simulation courses on basic and advanced surgical training. She has been a key member facilitating the establishment and running of the robotic simulation training lab at AIIMS, New Delhi. She has been awarded fellowship of the American College of Surgeons and Association of Surgeons of India. She has received the Young Surgeon’s Award by the Association of Surgeons of India (2019).
