Dr Anita Balakrishnan is a Consultant Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Surgeon at the Cambridge Hepatopancreatobiliary Unit, Affiliated Assistant Professor, and a Fellow of Selwyn College at the University of Cambridge. She is a Regional Surgical Adviser for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Surgical Tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and Member of Council of the EAHPBA.
Her clinical research interests include cholangiocarcinoma and the management of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms. She is Chief Investigator of the multicenter Pancreatic Cyst Evaluation (PaCE) study and the international OMEGA collaborative study on gallbladder cancer, and NIHR Regional Subspecialty Lead for HPB Surgery.
