Amy Thomas MBChB FRCA is a Consultant Anaesthetist and Pre op Assessment Lead at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, South Yorkshire, England.
She attended Sheffield Medical School, and completed her anaesthetic training in South Yorkshire in 2014.
Her main areas of practice are anaesthesia for colorectal surgery and lower limb revision arthroplasty. She has been Joint lead for the Preop assessment department since 2020.
Working clinically throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, she was inspired seeing the rapid changes in working practice and helped develop local pathways for safe elective surgery to continue. She is grateful to work with a dedicated team of colleagues to improve and expand the pre op assessment service for Rotherham.
She is an Educational supervisor and enjoys teaching clinically.
