Octavio Herrera is a urology resident physician at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance in McAllen, Texas. He completed medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2021. While obtaining an MD, he conducted research in pediatric urology under the mentorship of Dr. Mohan Gundeti. Octavio’s research was primarily on hypospadias techniques and outcomes with a focus on resident training in hypospadias surgery. His clinical and research interests include genitourinary reconstruction and functional outcomes in underserved populations.
