Roger Feakins is a consultant histopathologist at the Royal Free London NHS Trust and an honorary professor of gastrointestinal pathology at University College London. He contributes widely to service improvement initiatives and holds leadership roles in national and international organisations, including Chair of the Digestive Diseases Working Group of the European Society of Pathology, GI subspecialty adviser at the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath), and lead author or co-author of many position statements and reviews for the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO). He delivers invited lectures in the UK, Europe and in the US, is the editor of the successful textbook “Non-neoplastic pathology of the Gastrointestinal Tract”, is the author of several chapters in high quality textbooks and supports a broad range of research and international consensus projects in the field of digestive disease pathology.
