Dr Sanjay De Bakshi; MS; FRCS {Eng; Edin(ad-eundem)} has spent his entire working career in Surgical Gastroenterology and GI Oncology. He has been equally active in teaching and has been an Examiner, an Overseas International Advisor and Surgical Tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He was also a recipient of the Overseas Gold Medal from the College. He has also been a guide for DNB General and GI Surgery for the last twenty years. Dr De Bakshi is very active with Surgical teaching both offline and online and has spent a large part of his energy in training trainers in India.
He has a lot of interests aside from Surgery having completed Grade Exams from the Trinity College of Music; London in piano. He still maintains an eager and active interest in music, reading and photography.
Presently he is the Director of Calcutta Chirurgiae Collective and attached to Calcutta Medical Research Institute; Kolkata and Woodlands Multispecialty Hospital; Kolkata India as a Visiting Surgeon, Dr De Bakshi still manages to find time for both his career, post-graduate teaching and his other interests and hobbies.
